St Peters Lutheran College Springfield strives to foster and inspire excellence across the Creative Arts including Music, Drama, Art and Media and Dance.

Engagement with the Creative Arts develops the imagination and creative critical thinking skills of our young people as well as their practical skills and affective dispositions and appreciations. The Creative Arts provide a window to exploring and understanding alternate worldviews, cultures, issues and expressions and contributes to the wellbeing of our young people and the fullness of life both personally and within community.

The curriculum from Prep through to Year 9 includes Music and Art at all year levels after which these subjects can be continued as electives. Drama is taught as a specific subject in Junior High (Years 7-9) and offered as an elective in Senior School (Years 10–12). The Year 8 Production is an integrated milestone unit that incorporates script writing, dramatic performance and music that culminates in a one week intensive and traditional evening stage performance. Professional mentors are engaged to provide an authentic and inspiring experience.

Cocurricular opportunities in Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Art expand student horizons and facilitate further discovery, immersion and development for our students. Media Studies is a Year 10 elective and leads into the General Subject of Film, Television and New Media in Years 11-12.
