Current Employment Opportunities
We're always searching for amazing people to join our team. Take a look at our current opportunities over our three sites.
Our College
Located on 50 leafy acres in Indooroopilly, just 7km from Brisbane’s CBD, St Peters is the city’s premier co-educational day and boarding school for Prep to Year 12. Since 1945, our College has been defined by excellence in Christian co-education, a commitment to nurturing the whole child, and a deep belief in the transformative power of learning.
As a Positive Education school, we integrate academic excellence with wellbeing science, helping students flourish both in and beyond the classroom. Through our adoption of the Visible Wellbeing program and framework, we equip staff and students with practical tools to enhance resilience and emotional literacy, and have a shared language of wellbeing across our community.
Our Academic Programs
Few schools in Queensland offer the breadth of academic opportunities available at St Peters. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we offer a diverse range of learning pathways tailored to the needs and aspirations of each student. In the Primary Years, the IB Primary Years Programme provides a strong foundation in inquiry-based learning. In Senior School, students have the choice of the IB Diploma Programme, Queensland’s ATAR pathway, or Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications—ensuring that each student can find the path that’s right for them.
For teachers, this means the chance to work in an academic environment where innovation, choice, and student-centred learning are encouraged.
Our People
At St Peters, people are at the heart of the exceptional education we offer. Our team comprises approximately 550 permanent employees, with many additional team members in casual roles. Across all three sites, we empower students to lead lives of purpose through rich academic programs, diverse cocurricular opportunities, and intentional formation and service experiences.
Our passionate staff are dedicated to high standards and providing an inclusive and collegial environment where every person is seen, known, and valued. We are a place where teachers can be authentic, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact.
Grow Your Career
We are proud to invest in our people. At St Peters, teachers are supported at every stage of their career through structured professional learning, leadership development opportunities, and access to experienced mentors who walk alongside you as you grow.
Pursue Your Interests
Beyond the classroom, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue your interests and share your talents by getting involved in our extensive cocurricular programs. Whether your passion lies in sport, music, the arts, digital innovation, or outdoor education through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, there are countless ways to connect with students, contribute to College life and expand your own skill set.

St Peters offers a balance between high standards and strong support, encouraging growth surrounded by insightful colleagues. Autonomy in professional development means that you are able to pursue your passions while becoming a better educator. This role has been great for my practice and has given me numerous opportunities to become a well-rounded teacher.
— Alan LennoxFrom the moment I stepped onto the St Peters campus, I was met with warm and friendly smiles. A deep sense of belonging has been established at this school, where teachers, students, and auxiliary staff feel that they are not just a number, but members of a community. The school quickly recognised and valued my previous teaching experiences, giving me the confidence to pursue leadership opportunities in the school. But what really sets this school apart is the students. They are engaged, motivated, and thoughtful individuals who exhibit a genuine love of learning.
