St Peters Receives International Recognition for Robotics Excellence
St Peters Lutheran College has become the first Australian school recognised in the 2026 FIRST Inspire the Future: FIRST® Recognition Program, joining just 15 schools worldwide acknowledged for excellence in STEM and Robotics education.
At St Peters, Robotics is offered as a pathway from primary through to senior secondary as part of our Digital cocurricular programs, which include competitive Esports. This pathway allows students to develop skills progressively. A strong network of industry partnerships supports the College’s Robotics program and offers students opportunities to explore engineering, coding, problem-solving and teamwork through hands-on competition and innovation. St Peters students compete in the globally recognised FIRST Robotics Competition, with teams achieving success at both national and international levels.
Participation in Robotics provides students with far more than technical skills. Students develop leadership, communication and collaboration skills while learning to work creatively and strategically in high-pressure environments. This recognition highlights the strength of the College’s growing Digital programs and reflects the dedication of students, staff, mentors and industry partners who continue to support Robotics at St Peters.
Looking ahead, the College plans to further expand opportunities for students in Robotics and emerging technologies, continuing to inspire the next generation of innovators.
