St Peters Joins Round Square Global Network
St Peters is proud to announce that it has become a Round Square Candidate School, reinforcing the College's ongoing commitment to developing well-rounded, globally minded young people.
Round Square is an international network of more than 280 schools across 50+ countries, united by a shared set of principles known as the IDEALS: Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service. These values guide member schools in nurturing students who are socially responsible, empathetic and ready to make a meaningful difference in the world.
Far from being a new direction, this partnership reflects what St Peters already does well. The IDEALS align closely with the College's values and its Plus Ultra More Beyond 2030 Strategic Intent, particularly in the areas of Forming Global Citizens and Enriching Life-wide Learning. From cultural exchange programs and student leadership pathways to Ironbark, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and international service tours, St Peters students are already living the IDEALS every day.
Membership extends these opportunities further, connecting students to a worldwide community of peers and opening doors to global conferences, exchanges and collaborative service and leadership projects.
Later this year, four students and two staff members will represent St Peters at the Round Square International Conference at Barker College in Sydney, a valuable opportunity to connect with experienced member schools and bring fresh ideas back to our community.
"Round Square is not something new we are starting from scratch; it reflects what we already do well," says Sarah Delaney, Head of Life-Wide Learning.
"We look forward to sharing more opportunities with our community as this unfolds."
