St Peters Lutheran College is delighted to announce the appointment of the College Captains and Vice-Captains for 2026. Congratulations to College Captains, Nathan N and Kate W, and Vice-Captains, Luke K and Jolie H. These students have been selected for their authentic leadership, commitment to service, and desire to strengthen the connections that help our community thrive.

When asked about their hopes for the year ahead, the Captains spoke about encouraging kindness, strengthening student voice, and creating a culture where everyone feels valued and encouraged to be their best.

Nathan reflected on the privilege of leading a community that places such importance on student leadership. "Leadership at St Peters means contributing to a culture where students help shape the environment, uplift one another, and strive toward being the best community we can be," he said. He hopes to lead with humility, approaching "every day, every meeting, and every interaction as an opportunity to give back to the College," and aims to help foster a culture that is selfless, caring, and genuinely Plus Ultra.

Kate shared her goal of ensuring every student feels represented and heard. "Student leadership is about giving every student a voice," she said. She looks forward to working with her fellow captains, prefects, staff, and students from Prep to Year 12 to promote positivity and kindness, cross-grade connections, and a strong sense of school spirit. Above all, she hopes to be "a friendly face around the school" and help every student feel part of the St Peters community.

Luke believes student leadership at St Peters is about service, connection, and empowering others to speak up, describing it as "our great privilege to be available as a service to others and provide a voice for our community of over 2000 students". In 2026, he hopes to strengthen meaningful relationships across cohorts, not only through major initiatives but through the power of small acts of kindness, building a culture in which every student can contribute.

Jolie shared her belief in the importance of valuing the small moments of school life. She hopes to embody two guiding philosophies: that "there is room on the stage for everyone" and that "actions speak louder than words". She aims to encourage students to be proud of who they are, celebrate one another’s strengths, and treat everyone with patience and compassion. Through this, she hopes to help create an environment where students feel confident, supported, and comfortable being themselves.

We look forward to the contributions and positive impact these leaders will bring to the College community in 2026.
