Choosing the right school for your child is one of the biggest decisions a parent will make. At St Peters, we understand how tough this decision is. We look forward to assisting you in making the right decision for your child at our Year 7 Virtual Open Morning on Thursday 21 May.
Why a Virtual Open Morning?
Prior to COVID-19, and the social distancing regulations, we enjoyed welcoming families to our College in person. On scheduled tours, parents and their children could walk around our expansive campus, see our classrooms and facilities and meet our teachers and Year Level Coordinators. While we can no longer run these tours, we’re grateful that this doesn’t mean we have to miss the opportunity to meet you.
At St Peters Indooroopilly, we appreciate the difficulty families are having when trying to connect with schools at this time. Our Year 7 Virtual Open Morning will allow you the opportunity to meet members of our staff, find out more about what we offer students and engage in a Q&A session at the end.
What can you expect?
When you join us at our Year 7 Virtual Open Morning, you will meet members of our Junior High Leadership Team, including the Head of Junior High, Mrs Kelly Fox; the Deputy Head of Junior High, Mrs Anne Tetley-Jones; and the Year 7 Coordinator, Mr Gil Bygraves. The team will be talking about the following topics:
- Academic and Pastoral Care Programs
- Outdoor Education Programs (including the iconic St Peters Ironbark experience)
- Characteristics and Opportunities (specific to Year 7)
At St Peters, in Junior High, we encourage teamwork and personal growth. Our Junior High Leadership Team will show you how we encourage our students to embrace change as they transition into secondary schooling, and how they’re supported along their way.
