Sports Hall

St Peters Lutheran College is excited to announce the construction of our highly anticipated Sports Hall. The project is set to commence in 2026 as part of our Plus Ultra More Beyond 2030 new strategic intent and approved Masterplan.
This transformative project represents a major step forward in enhancing our HPE, sport and cocurricular programs, reinforcing
St Peters Lutheran College’s reputation for excellence.
The new Sports Hall will feature:
- Three multi-purpose courts for Basketball, Netball, and Volleyball with functionality for a show court with retractable seating
- Capacity for 7 Volleyball Courts for practice and training
- A large gym and fitness centre (including a 20m sprint track)
- Multiple spectator viewing areas
- Additional contemporary classrooms, staff breakout areas, amenities and office spaces
- Advanced Sports Performance technology
- A function room and canteen servery
- 4 ‘dry’ changerooms and 2 ‘wet’ changerooms to cater for HPE classes, sports training and match day fixtures
- Undercover car parking
- Landscaping to create a connection with other Sport amenities on the campus.
This facility will improve accessibility and provide additional parking for staff and visitors, ensuring smooth access for events and activities. The Sports Hall will be located on the corner of Founders Way and College Drive, adjacent to Mayer Oval, helping to form a Sports Precinct as highlighted in the College Masterplan.
With enrolments now exceeding 2,300 students, our existing gym, built in 1980, can no longer meet the demand. The new Sports Hall will address current needs and, as a generational project, will position us for future growth, including potential opportunities linked to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
Beyond supporting our educational and sporting goals, the Sports Hall will serve as a hub for sporting events, competitions, and partnerships.
