Welcome to St Peters Springfield

I am delighted and humbled to be the founding Principal of the second school of St Peters Lutheran College, located at Springfield Central, within the Health City precinct.

St Peters Springfield is a modern, Kindergarten–Year 12 co-educational College offering a welcoming, lively and friendly environment.

We have a wide range of transport options for students to travel to and from our school, including close proximity to the train, St Peters bus service to and from Greenbank; and a comprehensive bus service from another provider.

St Peters is concerned with the needs of individual students with a focus on the pastoral, academic, physical and spiritual dimensions, a special focus on the whole child. We have a diverse student body and encourage student enrolment applications from a wide range of backgrounds.

At the heart of the College, since we commenced in 2008, are the two expectations of all St Peters students:

  • to live by our motto of Plus Ultra - ever higher, more beyond, and
  • to treat all members of the St Peters’ community according to our three core values: with care, dignity and respect.

We believe that it is very important that our students feel safe at school so that their learning opportunities can be at an optimal level. St Peters strives for high academic standards with a willingness to help all students to realise their potential and develop their interests.

Our excellent staff are very committed to support our students and their ongoing development. Our unique outdoor education and agricultural program for our Year 9 students at Ironbark provides a very memorable and transformative experience for this cohort.

Essential to our school is our relationship with God, in the context of the Gospel, where each student is valued and accepted as a child of God. Relationships are a very important part of our St Peters culture, so we use the Restorative Practice model in the management of our students’ behaviours.

We offer a broad range of co-curricular activities including sport, music and debating.

For a ‘taste’ of St Peters, register for our next Open Day.

However, I strongly recommend you visit us: to see the College in action, to meet members of our caring and dynamic school, and experience for yourself the special community atmosphere.
