St Peters Health Centre has become an observational clinical placement venue for nurses enrolled in the nursing degree at the University of Queensland. Nursing students will observe only and will not participate in any direct care of students or staff. Music
Last weekend, 97 Senior string students participated in a music camp at the beautiful Queensland Conference and Camping (QCCC) Mt Tamborine Centre. St Peters Soloists, Sibelius Strings, and Paganini rehearsed for 12 hours over two and half days in preparation for the upcoming Queensland Youth Music Awards ensemble competition. The camp also included social activities and early morning exercise classes to warm up the students for the long rehearsal days...
Girls Sport
Thank you to all girls who ran at our last two QGSSSA Cross Country warm up meets. Congratulations to Gabby S (Year 7) who won the 12 years race at both the St Aidan’s meet at the end of last term and at the BGGS meet last Wednesday afternoon. Boys Sport
Last weekend’s trial round of Term 2 Sport encompassed plenty of action across the College grounds. While Chess and Senior Rugby and Football games were played at St Edmunds College, Junior Rugby and Football played at home. It was a successful day across all three sports with a good spread of wins throughout our Junior ranks and our Seniors winning a majority of their games against SEC. Primary Sport
Following inclement weather last week, the Years 4-6 Inter house Cross Country Carnival will now be run on Monday 30 April from 1:30 – 3:00pm at Indooroopilly High Oval and Robertson Park. The carnival will follow the schedule: 1.40pm: Competition commences. Year 4 boys, then girls 1.4km race; 2.00pm: Year 5 boys, then girls 1.6km race; 2:20pm: Year 6 boys, then girls 1.8km race.
