Boys Sport

As another year of Boys Sport draws to a close, we extend our thanks and best wishes to the dedicated coordinators, coaches and supporters who supported our program in 2017. Over 750 boys proudly represented St Peters in ten sports, and we congratulate each of them on their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and skill throughout the year, with progress shown especially in the core Sports of Swimming, Cross County and Athletics, in which St Peters is a Top 3 College.

Highlights for 2017 include: winning the Aggregate AIC Swimming Championships, securing the Aggregate AIC Tennis Championship for a remarkable sixth year in a row, a competitive third placing in the Aggregate AIC Cross Country Championships, and Open Premierships in both AIC Swimming and Track and Field, plus improved results across a number of other sports. While a number of individual boys received accolades for their performances at the recent Junior and Senior High Presentation mornings, it is important that we also recognise the importance of teamwork and continuing to compete to the best of your ability at all times. Well done to all involved and we look forward to further growth and enjoyment in 2018.

After a challenging yet rewarding three years helping to grow the St Peters Boys Sport Program, I have decided to step down as the Head of Boys Sport and return to a teaching role in 2018. I thank the College sporting community for letting me serve them. Next year, we will welcome Mr Darren Grosse as the new Head of Boys Sport, whose vast experience in sports administration will undoubtedly assist the College to continue to grow the Sports Program in the future.
