Uniform Changes

GIRLS UNIFORM

Primary Years (Prep - Year 6)

  • No change to Girls dress. Girls will wear dress all year round;
  • Girls winter uniform (Years 5 & 6) has been removed; and
  • No change to the sport uniform.

Junior High & Senior School (Years 7–12)

  • Girls summer dress has been removed. Therefore, only one uniform is required all year round.

Girls Blouse | Changes

  • New design;
  • Slim fit and regular fit options;
  • Current St Peters fabric;
  • St Peters crest embroidered on left hand side;
  • Modesty panel added (white fabric panelling to the inside front of blouse);
  • Front placket opening style (to conceal buttons, providing a clean design line);
  • Action back for comfort;
  • Peaked hemline for a more finished look;
  • Collar will remain the same; and
  • Sleeve cuff edging for a more finished look.

Girls Skirt | Changes

  • Design – New;
  • Lighter fabric – To suit Queensland climate;
  • Zipper pocket added – Safe keeping for cash, phone or personal items;
  • Adjustable waistband – To assist with fit.

Girls Pant | Changes

  • New design;
  • Lighter fabric to suit Queensland climate;
  • Zipper pocket (safe keeping for personal items);
  • 7cm hemline (for those requiring extra leg length);
  • St Peters crest embroidered above back pocket; and
  • Belt loops will be removed (no belt required).

Hats, blazers, ties, socks and shoe requirements will remain the same.

BOYS UNIFORM

Primary Years, Junior High & Senior School (Prep - Year 12)

  • Current short and trouser material is under review;
  • Shirt – proposed crest embroidery to pocket to match new-style girls blouse embroidery; and
  • Boys single pleat shorts and trousers – new design.

Changes

  • Single pleat design;
  • Corporate look and lighter fabric to suit Queensland climate;
  • Zipper pocket added (for safe keeping for personal items);
  • Adjustable waistband to assist with fit; and
  • St Peters crest embroidered above back pocket.

Boys Shirt – Changes

  • Slim fit and regular fit options;
  • Current St Peters fabric; and
  • St Peters crest embroidered on pocket.

Hats, blazers, ties, socks and shoe requirements will remain the same.

IMPLEMENTATION

Commencing in 2018, with full implementation by 2020. Please refer to the rollout timeline below:

2017

  • December – new uniform available for purchase. New uniform compulsory for all new students (Years 7–12) commencing 2018.

2018

Girls

  • Current students (Years 7–12) can continue to wear the current uniform OR wear the new uniform.

Boys

  • Current students (Years 7–12) can continue to wear the current uniform OR wear the new shirt and pants. By the end of 2018, no more second-hand uniforms (old style) will be sold.

2019

  • New uniform available to all students Years 7–12. Current students can wear old or new uniform until end of 2019.

2020

  • Full implementation: All students to wear new uniform.

Whilst we are in this time of transition, continuing students may choose to wear either the current uniform or purchase the new uniform. Students are not to wear a combination of both uniforms. The College uniform has always symbolised our school culture, spirit and traditions. It is expected that students will wear the uniform proudly and correctly as per the uniform expectations below.

CURRENT UNIFORM (YEARS 7–12)

Girls Summer (Terms 1 & 4)

  • Dress – no shorter than the base of the knee;
  • St Peters formal socks; and
  • Formal hat.

Girls Winter (Terms 2 & 3)

  • Grey St Peters skirt;
  • Blouse;
  • St Peters socks;
  • Blazer – must be worn to and from school;
  • Tie; and
  • Formal hat.
  • Optional: Black opaque tights/St Peters pullover.

Boys Summer (Terms 1 & 4)

  • Grey shorts or trousers;
  • Short-sleeve shirt;
  • Black belt;
  • Knee-high grey socks with shorts;
  • Tie; and
  • Formal hat.

Boys Winter (Terms 2 & 3)

  • Grey trousers;
  • Short-sleeve shirt;
  • Black belt;
  • Short St Peters grey socks;
  • Blazer – must be worn to and from school;
  • Tie; and
  • Formal hat.
  • Optional: St Peters Pullover.

NEW UNIFORM (YEARS 7–12)

GIRLS – ALL YEAR ROUND

  • New grey St Peters skirt – no shorter than the base of the knee;
  • New grey St Peters pants;
  • New blouse with crest embroidery;
  • St Peters formal socks;
  • Tie; and
  • Formal hat.

Terms 2 & 3

  • Blazer – must be worn to and from school;
  • New grey shorts (Terms 1 & 4) or trousers;
  • New short-sleeve shirt with crest embroidery;
  • Black belt;
  • Tie;
  • Socks: short St Peters grey socks with trousers/knee-high grey socks with shorts; and
  • Formal hat.
  • Optional: Black opaque tights/St Peters Pullover.

BOYS – ALL YEAR ROUND

Terms 2 & 3

  • Blazer – must be worn to and from school.
  • Optional: St Peters Pullover.

NEW UNIFORM SHOWCASE EVENING

To celebrate the release of the new uniform, The School Locker will be holding a Uniform Launch. Uniforms will be available for purchase on the night.
