Reports, Parent Teacher Interviews and Subject Selection

Semester Reports

Semester 1 Reports will be made available on Firefly by no later than 4.00pm on Friday 29 June.

Semester 2 Parent Teacher Interviews

Semester 2 Parent Teacher interview evenings will be held as follows:

  • Years 10–12: Wednesday 25 July from 3.30 – 7.00pm in the Dohler classrooms. Bookings will be set using your child’s Semester 1 class information; and
  • Years 7–9: Tuesday 16 October from 3.30 – 7.00pm in the Dohler classrooms.

Parents will be sent an email to alert them when Semester 1 reports are available on the Firefly. This same email will provide detailed information regarding the Parent Teacher evenings, including login details and the timing of the booking process.

2019 Subject Selection

The due date for subject preferences is Friday 10 August (Week 4 Term 3).  

Course Planning Guides (CPG) will be available on Firefly from Monday 25 June.

Year 7 2019

Year 7 students are required to nominate a language preference only.

Important dates are as follows:

  • 3 August (Week 3, Term 3): web preference login details will be emailed to parents. Web preferences will open for submissions on the same day; and
  • 10 August (Week 4, Term 3): web preferences will be closed at 5.00pm for current St Peters students.

Year 8 2019

Current Year 7 students do not need to submit subject selections for 2019 as they will automatically be enrolled in all of their Year 8 subjects.

Years 9 and 10 2019

Important dates are as follows:

  • 26 July (Week 2, Term 3): Year 9 2019 parent information session at 6.30pm in the Performing Arts Centre;
  • 26 July (Week 2, Term 3): Year 10 2019 parent information session at 7.15pm in the Performing Arts Centre;
  • 3 August (Week 3, Term 3): Web preference login details will be emailed to students and parents. Web preferences will open for submissions on the same day. Subjects are not allocated on a ‘first in’ basis, therefore no advantage will be gained by submitting before others; and
  • 10 August (Week 4, Term 3): Web preferences will close at 5.00pm.

Year 11 2019 Students and Parents

Important dates are as follows:

  • 19 July 6.30pm (Week 1, Term 3): Parent and Student Information Evening in the Performing Arts Centre. This will include an overview of IB, QCE (new Queensland Certificate of Education system), VET and the St Peters SET Plan processes;
  • 31 July (Week 3, Term 3): Parent and Student Information Evening. This follows the session held on 19 July. Attending both sessions (19 and 31 July) would be beneficial; 
  • New QCE/QCAA/VET pathway session 6.30pm at the Performing Arts Centre;
  • IB Pathway session 7.30pm at the Performing Arts Centre Theatrette;
  • Weeks 1 through 3: Curriculum Leaders will address students during the school day to give a small preview of senior subjects;
  • 6 – 9 August (Week 4, Term 3): Year 10 SET Plan Interviews will take place. It is compulsory for students to submit a SET Plan by Friday 10 August at 5.00pm. SET Plans may be submitted (hardcopy) to Mrs Turnbull at the Academic Hub without an interview if desired. SET Plan interviews to discuss pathways and subject options are available for students and parents if they wish from 6 – 9 August from 3.30 - 5.30pm at Theile House. Interviews are not compulsory this year, however parents and students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
