Robotics News

Robotics students are busily preparing for upcoming competitions. Students in Years 5 – 12 are building and programming robots for RoboCup regionals, which will take place at St Peters on Saturday 9 June. Anyone who is interested in competing still has the opportunity to register - it’s not too late to get started on your robot! Registrations open this week and St Peters teams will not have to pay as we are hosting. Anyone who is interested in Robotics is welcome to come and watch on the day or help out. Email for more information.

Our FIRST Global students have been contacting politicians and organisations that may be able to support us in getting to Mexico in August. This week, Vinesh, James and Jess met up with the Hon. Jane Prentice to collect flags to take with us.

Congratulations to our teams for being accepted to compete at the World Robotic Summit (WRS) in Japan in October. WRS is a "Challenge and Expo" that brings together robot excellence from around the world to promote a world where robots and humans can live and work together. The WRS will feature the World Robot Challenge, where robots will compete with one another, and the World Robot Expo, where the latest robotic technologies will be exhibited. Good luck to our students who will start preparing in the coming weeks.
