Drama Excursion Opportunity

This year, the Drama department has introduced theatre excursions for pleasure to ensure Drama students can attend a variety of performances, exposing them to different plays, styles, conventions and companies in the world of theatre. Students have already attended ‘Twelfth Night’ in early May. They still discuss this show in class as examples of comedy, setting and the use of contemporary music in a Shakespearean play. It is exciting to watch them connect to an authentic live show and realise the power of this aesthetic to actively engage an audience.

We have secured a limited number of tickets for ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ and all students in Years 9,10 and 12 have been emailed the information and permission forms. Tickets will be distributed on a first in/best dressed basis. Please send the completed forms to k.mecklem@stpeters.qld.edu.au

We will attend ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ will show at QPAC’s Concert Hall on Wednesday 13 June from 7.30pm. Tickets cost $50 (student discount applied). Parents must arrange their child’s own transport to and from the event.
