Head of College
Last Friday, I was fortunate to attend the Lower Primary Assembly. The special guest was Year 12 student and Commonwealth Games Gold medallist, Ariarne T. Our youngest students were certainly most excited to see Ariarne and her medals. When asked which of her swimming races she was most proud of, Ariarne referred to the ones she had swum personal bests (PBs) in, and not necessarily the ones in which she had won gold medals. This year, we have emphasised goal setting and the pursuit of personal bests...
Ministry
Mothers – they are important in our lives, we all have one, and this Sunday many families will come together to honour and thank their mothers. It’s a good practice to, at least once a year, stop and reflect on all that our mothers have done and continue to do for us; on what they mean to us and to express our thanks. In fact, I sincerely hope you do this more than once a year! Just use the designated day as inspiration to thank your mum regularly and to support her in her role all the time...

I hope all of our mothers will be acknowledged for the contributions they make to their families on Sunday for Mother’s Day, and your children take time to show their appreciation for everything you do for them. Yesterday, we celebrated this special time in advance with many mothers who attended our breakfast. Hospitality students were once again fabulous in their preparation and delivery of the breakfast - we thank them and their teachers for their efforts. The Lower Primary Parent Support Group coordinated a...

Round 2 of AIC Chess, Rugby and Football was played on the weekend, with St Patricks College hosting all teams in all sports. Thank you to all boys and parents who played and spectated on Saturday. Being a long weekend, a few boys were unable to make it to their games, which did put pressure on numbers for a couple of our teams. However, it was pleasing to see that the majority of boys honoured their commitment. The sporting culture at St Peters is such that we represent our school to the absolute best of our ability and this was...
