International Baccalaureate News

It was wonderful to see so many of IB students and parents at the recent Parent Information Evening. If you didn’t make it on the night, please check the portal for materials that were presented. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to make contact.

This year, the IB offices have moved to the Academic Hub, situated underneath Café 45 and next door to Shop 45. The Academic Hub is a home for all QCAA and IB administrators. Our new Scholars Wall gives St Peters graduates an opportunity to place their name alongside our highest academic achievers and we have had many excited visitors in the first few weeks of term.

I introduce Mrs Olivia Larney, who has taken up the role of IBDP Teaching and Administrative Assistant in 2018. Olivia has taught IB Economics since the IB’s implementation at St Peters. Her role includes liaising between St Peters and the International Baccalaureate Organisation, supporting staff and students with lesson preparation and assessment requirements and other administrative tasks relating to IB courses and candidate enrolments.

We look forward to the learning journey ahead this year and hope that the first part of Term 1 has been a happy and productive time for the students.

Ros Midgley, IBDP Coordinator, and Olivia Larney, IBDP Teaching & Administration Assistant
