PRIMARY SPORT RESULTS WRAP-UP
It’s been another action-packed week of Primary Sport, with our students showing fantastic spirit, resilience, and teamwork across a range of competitions.
AIC Rugby League
A huge congratulations to our Primary Rugby League team, who celebrated their first win of the season! The boys have been working hard in training, and it was wonderful to see their efforts rewarded on game day. A proud moment for the team and the College!
AIC Primary Tennis
There were some excellent results on the Tennis court this week.
- 5A dominated their match with a clean 8-0 win.
- 5B showed great determination but narrowly went down 5-3.
- 6A won a tight match 5-3, while 6B had a confident 6-2 win. A terrific afternoon of Tennis with great sportsmanship on display.
AIC Primary Basketball
A tough round for our basketballers, but there were plenty of positives to take from the games.
- 6C were edged out in a thriller, going down by just one point 15-14.
- 5A and 6A played with heart but came up against strong opposition, with scores of 28-60 and 48-20, respectively. Despite the results, the boys played with enthusiasm and are continuing to develop their skills each week.
WDNA Netball
It was another spirited round of Saturday Netball at WDNA.
- Wins for St Peters 5 (15-5) and St Peters 8 (12-3) highlighted the day, with excellent teamwork and communication on court.
- Our other teams faced some strong opposition but never gave up, with many close passages of play and encouraging signs across the board. We’re proud of all our netballers for playing with such positive energy and support for one another.
Across all sports, it has been wonderful to see our students embracing the challenge, having fun, and growing together as a team. Well done to everyone involved!
Friday Night Lights – Primary Sport at Home
We’re gearing up for a fantastic afternoon of Primary Sport this Friday 25 July, as all our Primary Tennis and Basketball teams take on St Patrick’s College, right here at home!
All four Basketball teams will be playing on the Harts Road Courts, while our four Tennis teams will be competing across the Lohe Street and Stolz Centre courts. With warm-ups kicking off from 3:30pm, it promises to be a great showcase of skill, teamwork, and Saints spirit.
This is a rare occasion where all Primary fixtures are being hosted on campus at the same time, and we’d love to create a vibrant, supportive atmosphere for our players. A special call-out to our College Captains and Secondary students – if you’re able to come along, we’d love your help forming a tunnel or leading a war cry to send the teams out in true Saints style.
Families, friends and staff – bring your voices and positive energy as we cheer on our youngest athletes. Let’s make it a Friday afternoon to remember!

PRIMARY SPORT STANDARDS
Earlier this year, we introduced the St Peters Primary Sport Standards—clear benchmarks that support skill development, consistency, and a love of sport across all year levels. Aligned with the PYP Learner Profiles, these standards help guide students in building both physical skills and personal character. We encourage parents to continue engaging with the standards—use them to track progress, set goals, and support your child’s sporting journey. Together, we’re building a strong, connected sporting culture for all.
