QGSSSA Football Season Report
The 2025 QGSSSA Football season was one of growth, resilience, and many proud moments. At every game, meeting, and training session, we do what we do: for the joy, the challenge, and above all, the love of the game.
This season was particularly special as it showcased the bright future of our Football program. Our Opens squad featured players spanning from Year 7 through to Year 12, a testament to the depth of talent and the strong pipeline we are building. The energy, commitment, and skill shown by our younger athletes, especially those in Years 7, 8, and 9, are truly exciting and give us great confidence for the seasons ahead.
To our graduating Year 12s, thank you. Your leadership, dedication, and passion have left a lasting mark on this program. You’ve set a high standard, not just through your play on the field but through the way you’ve carried yourselves off it. You’ve been exemplary role models to the younger students, and we are immensely proud of everything you’ve achieved and the individuals you’ve become. As you take your next steps beyond school, we wish you every success. We also look forward to seeing many of you return in new roles, as coaches, mentors, and lifelong supporters of St Peters Football.
Thank you to all players, families, and supporters for making 2025 a memorable year. We can't wait to see what’s next.

QGSSSA Basketball Season Report
The Basketball season has been a fantastic showcase of talent, dedication, and school spirit across both the QGSSSA and CBSQ competitions thus far.
In QGSSSA Basketball, our St Peters teams have had a particularly successful season, with several year levels finishing strongly in their divisions. The Senior A team was crowned QGSSSA Premiers, finishing the season on top of the ladder after playing consistent, high-quality Basketball each week. The 7A, 9B and Open teams also had strong seasons, finishing runners-up in a fiercely competitive season.
The improvements across the board from all teams reflect the hard work from preseason through to Term 2, with many of our junior teams showing the potential to push for premierships in future seasons.
Beyond QGSSSA, St Peters also made a strong impression at the CBSQ Wildcard Tournaments this term with our Sophomore Girls (Year 7/8) team advancing through to the next stage, showing exceptional teamwork and composure under pressure. These wildcard tournaments serve as qualification rounds for the CBSQ State Championships held later this year, and we’re thrilled to have multiple St Peters teams progressing.
Congratulations to all our athletes, coaches, and support staff for a fantastic first half of the season. We look forward to building on this momentum in the back half of the year.

Volleyball - Intermediate Schools Cup
Last weekend, our Years 9 and 10 students participated in the Queensland Volleyball Intermediate Schools Cup held on the Gold Coast. We extend our congratulations to the team for achieving 4th place in Division 1, narrowly missing out on playing off for a gold medal.
This tournament served as an excellent preseason opportunity for our Volleyball girls, and we wish them luck in the upcoming QGSSSA season. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our coaches, Matt and Jess, as well as to the players and parents who contributed their time and support throughout the tournament.
