As we approach the end of the school year, our focus turns to preparing students for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in 2026. This is a time of anticipation and reflection as pathways are confirmed, booklists are finalised, and our Year 12 students undertake their External Exams.
QCAA external exams play a vital role in senior schooling, providing a standardised measure of student achievement across Queensland. They validate school-based assessments, ensure fairness and consistency, and contribute to post-school pathways, including university entry. Beyond grades, these exams help students develop essential skills such as time management, critical thinking, and exam technique, preparing them for life after school.
Equally important are the pathways conversations that take place throughout this period. Under the guidance of Ms Sarah Johnson, our Pathways and Counselling Leader, students are refining their subject selections to align with their individual strengths, interests, and future ambitions. This applies not only to senior students but also to Years 8 and 9, who are making subject choices that allow them to not only explore their gifts and talents, but begin to lay the foundation for their future pathways.
Booklists for 2026 will be released soon, providing students with the resources they need to start the year prepared and organised. These carefully curated materials will support both academic rigour and creativity, encouraging engagement and deep learning across all subjects.
At St Peters Springfield, we are proud of our holistic approach, valuing excellence, purpose, and care in equal measure. As we look ahead to 2026, we extend our gratitude to families for their continued partnership and support. Together, we are shaping learners who are curious, capable, and ready to embrace the future with confidence.

Grandparents Day
Grandparents’ Day at St Peters Springfield was a joyful celebration of the love and wisdom our Grandparents share with the next generation. The morning began with a special Chapel Service, setting a reflective and thankful tone for the day.
Grandparents then joined their grandchildren in classrooms, taking part in learning activities and sharing precious moments together. The celebration concluded with a morning tea in their honour. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the Grandparents who joined us and continue to play such an important role in the lives of our students.
