St Peters Old Scholars Association – Connection Across Generations
One of the unique strengths of St Peters Springfield is our shared heritage and mission with St Peters Indooroopilly. Through the St Peters Old Scholars Association (SPOSA), this connection extends well beyond graduation, bringing together generations of Old Scholars and reinforcing that being part of St Peters is a lifelong relationship.
This connection is also reflected within our own staff community. St Peters Springfield is currently privileged to have five Old Scholars employed at the College, two graduates from Springfield and three from Indooroopilly. Together, they embody the spirit of being a “Saint for Life”, returning to serve the community that helped shape their own journeys and now supporting the next generation of students.
On Monday 11 May, St Peters Springfield was proud to host the annual SPOSA meeting held at Springfield, welcoming members of the wider SPOSA community to campus. The meeting provides an important opportunity for Old Scholars from both campuses to connect with Springfield and witness the ongoing growth of the College.
A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of SPOSA Outlook, the outdoor learning space developed as part of the Junior High Precinct Stage 3B project completed in mid-2025. SPOSA supported the naming of this space to honour the enduring relationship between Springfield and the Old Scholars community and to recognise the important role SPOSA continues to play in the life of the College.
We also acknowledge the generous support of SPOSA and particularly thank Indooroopilly Old Scholar, St Peters Springfield champion and supporter, Mrs Margaret Curnow, whose donation of the SPOSA Outlook sign has helped bring this recognition to life.
SPOSA continues to strengthen the ties between past and present, reminding us that the St Peters story does not end at graduation, it continues for life.
