James Ommaney Retirement Village
After a short bus ride, our very excited Year 3 students presented a Christmas-themed concert at James Ommaney Retirement Village on Monday, to a supportive and encouraging audience of residents.
Students performed a variety of songs they have been preparing during Poco Voce rehearsals, and also performed a play about the Christmas story of Jesus’ birth. At the conclusion of the concert, students met the residents and gave them small gifts, before joining them for morning tea.
St Peters, Springfield has performed at James Ommaney for many years; however, as Springfield grows, the decision has been made for us to expand our connections in our local area. This was, therefore, our last visit to James Ommaney. Good News Lutheran School will now be taking over this concert.
Thanks are due to Mr Nick Brayne and Ms Samantha Fulcher for preparing the Christmas play with the students, and for creating the Christmas gifts for residents.
